DEVELOPMENT: Our goal was to offer a valved exhaust that delivers a refined cabin presence. It is easy to increase the volume of the 718, but a challenge to bring out a more aggressive note while making the flat four sound distinctly Porsche which is a common complaint. The turbo and large amount of sound deadening in the 718 do a great job of keeping the cabin calm, but raising the volume to compensate can bring out negative notes in the exhaust such as rasp and drone. We applied the same design principles as our renowned Valved Exhaust line for previous Boxster / Cayman generations to deliver a refined increase in sound that will also pair well with an upgraded, freer flowing downpipe to yield a mature exhaust note without ever being overbearing. This is a superior option for cars not equipped with the Porsche Sport Exhaust from the factory. The high-flow catalytic converter and smooth mandrel bent piping ranging from 90mm down to 55mm upon exit encourages better throttle response and a more exciting exhaust note. Easy to bolt in with no modifications required, this is a great, reversible solution to make your Boxster or Cayman more exciting.
CONSTRUCTION: Each system is made from mandrel bent T304L stainless steel tubing (featuring 2.5″ OD over axle pipes) and features mufflers with fortified casings in the interest of durability. With valves closed the exhaust gasses are routed into the SOUL muffler, which is packed with high quality sound deadening material designed to withstand abuse and not blow out over time. The mufflers are incredibly effective at minimizing drone. Exhaust gasses make their way through the muffler and out through perforations into the outer piping. With valves open, exhaust gasses are now free to exit out through large 2.5″ piping while perforations allow exhaust gasses to “talk” with the muffler, encouraging a fuller, more robust tone. Each downpipe is assembled out of mandrel bent, thick wall T304L stainless steel, then rigorously quality checked. Back purged TIG welding ensures proper weld penetration and longevity.
SOUND: You could describe the sound experience as PSE Plus! The tone in the cabin with valves open is about the same as PSE, not intrusive at all. Under heavy load the volume difference is noticeable, more aggressive while still refined. With valves closed, you can carry on a phone conversation on the highway without any intrusion from the exhaust. The exhaust offers a respectable level of snarling and crackling without droning at all RPM and throttle loads. Sport mode unleashes an increase in crackles and burbles.
VALVE OPERATION: A valve controller is included with every system and is required for non-PSE cars. PSE equipped cars will retain full factory functionality by using the factory vacuum lines. The valve controller is optional for PSE equipped cars and allows full valve control at all times. Valve functionality can be controlled by the factory PSE button, included valve controller fobs, and with HomeLink buttons.
TIPS: Choose from several different tip styles and finishes. Single wall tips have around a half inch of depth adjustment to allow for the tips to be sunk in to just show the logo at their deepest and pulled out more if desired. Double wall chrome tips are longer in length by 1″ and protrude from the bumper aggressively. Logo customization is available, please contact us.
BOLT ON AND GO: Each component is rigorously quality-checked, tested in a fixture to guarantee fitment, and then foam packed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.. All domestic orders will be shipped to the verified billing address associated with the customer’s credit card. In the event that the products need to be shipped to another address, Millaracing will verify the transaction with the customer by requesting a screenshot of our transaction on the customers online banking.
Millaracing strives to ship "In-Stock" orders within 48 hours of receiving the order. Shipping times may vary depending on the contents of your order. Millaracing does not ship partial orders unless requested by the customer, at which time additional shipping charges may apply. If you need your order by a specific date, it is important to contact us by phone so that we may assist you. All dates provided are based on estimates given by the supplier. Millaracing does not guarantee ship dates as delivery times are subject to change. All shipping times are based on our Monday through Friday business hours. Orders will not be shipped from our facility on Saturday or Sunday. Shipping Charges are non-refundable.
International Orders
Please be advised that your country may impose duty fees, or other taxes based on the product origin and/or value. These fees and taxes are based on your country's import policy, and may be imposed in addition to the purchase price and shipping/handling fees collected by us prior to shipment. All such fees and taxes are the sole responsibility of the recipient and any and all charges incurred by Millaracing will be charged to the customer. Millaracing is not responsible for such fees/taxes on returned items. If you are concerned about possible additional charges, please contact your local Import/Customs authority for more information. All charges, sales, returns, and exchanges will be calculated in US dollars. Millaracing is not responsible for fluctuations in currency value. International customers are responsible for understanding their country's international buying laws, and should be aware that all international purchases are subject to additional brokerage, duty or tax fees that are collected at the time of delivery unless otherwise noted by Millaracing. Millaracing is not responsible for these charges as we have no affiliation with tax systems set forth by international countries. If the consignee/receiver refuses to pay these additional charges at the time of delivery, Millaracing will instruct the shipping carrier to abandon the package. Abandoned packages are destroyed at the shipping warehouse at your local pick up facility. Millaracing will not be held responsible for any abandoned packages due to these circumstances.
Damaged/Missing Items in Shipment - If you've received a damaged product you MUST notify the Customer Service Department (CSD) of the shipping carrier (ex: UPS, FedEx) within twenty-one days to initiate a damaged package claim. It is required that you keep all of the packaging material, box(es) and broken product(s) until the shipping carrier completes the investigation. Failure to report damaged items from an order before forwarding, re-shipping or transferring the shipment to another location will result in immediate claim denial.
If you are missing any products from your order, you MUST notify the CSD within thirty days of receiving the items.
If you fail to report damaged and/or missing items in your shipment within the timeframe outline above, replacement products will not be shipped out under any circumstances. Failure to report missing items from an order before forwarding, re-shipping or transferring the shipment to another location will result in immediate claim denial.
Freight orders are excluded from this policy as it is the responsibility of the recipient to confirm that the goods are in new condition, without damage and that the order is complete before signing for the delivery.
Lost Packages: If you do not receive your package and the tracking information shows that the package has been delivered you must notify us within three days of the marked delivery date so that we can initiate a lost package tracer with the shipping carrier you have originally selected. Replacement products will not be sent until the shipping carrier completes the tracer request and grants permission for replacement product to be shipped UPS typically requires up to eight business days from the time the claim is started. USPS can require from five to ninety business days, depending on your country's time requirement that has been set forth. FedEx can require from twenty-one to twenty-eight business days from the time the claim is started. Please note that this is the policy of the shipper and not of Millaracing. Millaracing does not guarantee that any packages will be credited by the shipping carrier until this process is complete.
Millaracing will not provide refunds for any lost package under any circumstances.
